this series was taken in the fall as well on halloween where i hung out at the beach, while the boys went to surf. fleeting images and a beautiful sunset was captured.
this post came a little late, fall came n left without a word and winter slipped away with barely any snow. we are almost into spring now. however, enjoy what was there in the fall. the rich reds, browns and yellows. fall is really my favorite season. warm yet cold and it is also a time to nurture our bodies to prepare for winter. and i think food really should reflect that. less salads, more warm soups and cooked vegetables. use of ginger and various spices is also more prevalent.

Joshua Tree National Park
Many know of Joshua Tree from U2′s album The Joshua Tree, I am no different. not Until this recent trip in october, did I realized that Joshua tree is a type of tree found in the Mojave desert. The Joshua tree was named by Mormons after Old Testament Joshua, as the tree’s branches stretches upwards in a prayerful gesture.
Being a desert, the weather conditions were very extreme with a range of 45-80°F. The night I was there was very special, my bff in hand and the bright moon in toe, even the stars came out to play and we caught a couple shooting stars.
Enjoy!

I was privileged to enjoy this special dinner hosted by Manresa with guest chef Dan Hunter of The Royal Mail Hotel, Dunkel Victoria Australia Sept 10, 2011. It was a well executed menu with a lot of heart put into it. Seeds were sent by Chef Hunter 6 months ahead of time to Love Apple Farms, to harvest for this dinner. Prior to the dinner, we took a tour of Love Apple Farms and saw some of these ingredients in the soil. It is indeed a wholesome farm to table concept.
